Sometimes it seems that everything around you is going to pieces. Everything you say or do seem to be wrong. You know that within you your intentions are right, and for all the right reasons, but nothing seems to be working out. You pray, treat people right (if they will allow you), do all the right things, but things are not coming together.
Ladies, today I want you to know that everything happens for a reason. Whatever it is that is trying to destroy your faith, rock your foundation or steer you off the course that you have been guided toward will not be victorious over you. Sometimes we are so bombarded because we are in the middle of that battle, that we cannot see that victory is right around the corner. Know that your footsteps are being guided by a wonderful, powerful, merciful God, and that when it seems that you are standing alone in the mist of that battle, he is right there next to you.
As long as you are doing the right things for the right reason, know that things will change and work out for the you. I would like to share a verse in the bible that carries me through: Galatians 6:9, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not".
Stand strong on your faith, stand strong on his word, and know that everything happens for a reason and it will get better!
Be Blessed Always!

Being Kind to One Another
I really look forward to the day when women will start being kind to one another. I know that we all have our everyday issues we face, but try not to allow whatever you are going through stop you from being kind to others. Sometimes a smile or simply a nod of the head will do. If you are out at the store and you see that someone is a little short of money, if you have a little extra, help them out. If you see someone is looking down, offer a word of sincerity to them. If you know of someone out of a job, and you know of someplace that is hiring, refer them. If you know that someone cannot feed their children, offer them a meal.
I really hope we as women can get to a point where being kind to one another is the norm, not something extraordinary. Don't you agree?
Be Blessed

MAKING A CHANGE
I have received a lot of positive feedback on my blog and I want to thank everyone who have visited my blog and shared it with family and friends. I want you to know that I really want to make a change in the way women (young and old) see themselves. I want you to know that life is not all doom and gloom. I want to inspire women to build a foundation for themselves and their family. I want to educate women on the women who came before us, who regardless of what diversity they faced, they held their own with dignity and grace. I want to motivate women to seek the help needed to advance their families. I want women to know how precious and valuable we are. I want all women to know how powerful we are united. I want to teach women to stop degrading themselves and others. I want women to make a change.
I have also received some feedback that has not been positive, and I want to thank you for your comments. My blog is not intended to be depressing, it is intended to inspire and uplift. Sometimes the TRUTH can be depressing, but it is still the TRUTH. We have a lot of women, that are very negative of other women. We have a lot of women who do not know how to work or be friends with other women. We have a lot of women who have made it and will not teach nor tell another woman how she did it. We have a lot of women who like to back bite. We have a lot of women who still refer to other women as bitch and hoe. We have a lot of young girls having babies too soon, and we as women need to fix this! We have a lot of young women without a positive role model around them. We have a lot of women that are self centered, abusing and downright mean. We have a lot of women stuck in abusive situations. We have a lot of women homeless. We have a lot of women losing their jobs with no hope of help nor know where to go get help. We have a lot of women who will not step out of their comfort zone to help other women. I do this because I belive that for the sake of our families, our communities and ourselves we as women have got to change.
I say this because we, as women, cannot continue down this path. I remember a time when women worked together proudly. I remember a time, if a family on the block was having a hard time, everyone worked together and helped them. I remember a time when children were respectable to adults. I remember a time when you could not pay a child to disrespect his/her parents. I remember a time when women banded together to uplift other women. I remember a time if someone needed something people where there to help without strings attached. I remember when one did not think about him/herself, their focus was helping others. I am sure many of you remember those times also, but sadly there are many that never experienced a true bonding or know what it means to inspire or motivate.
I want to make a change, a positive change in how we look and think of ourselves. I want you to know that you are not alone. I want all women, young and old, to know that you are worthy of respect. I want you to know that you are valuable and powerful. I want you to know your position in life. I want you to know that without you, life stops. I want you to know that God made you to be a goddess and you should be treated like a queen. I want you to know how to respect your mind, body and soul. I want you to reach your highest potential. I want you to know that you do not have to be around negative people. I want you to know that greater is he that is within you, than he that is in the world. I want you to be able to inspire and motivate your family. I want women to be willing to inspire and support other women outside of your church or click. (This will be my next topic, get ready).
If I can help another woman with the wisdom that God has given me, the inspiration and motivation that my mother blessed me with, and the education that life put on me, then I am blessed. My joy comes when I help other people. I am filled beyond words, when I am able to motivate another person. My spirit sing praises when I can bless another person with comforting words. My job is done when I someone says "Thank you for helping me make a change in my life".
I am a very blessed woman, and I want you to be blessed also. I will continue to make a change so that we can all be better.
Be Blessed Always.

SOME PEOPLE...ARE JUST BITTER
Yesterday, was the one year anniversary of a horrible event in my life. I called 3 very special people that helped me and my family through this terrible time. The first person I called, I thanked him for all his support and told him I loved him for standing by me during this hard time. The second person I sent a text message, I thanked him also, and told him that I could not have made it without him. Both people I called were very understanding and appreciated the fact I acknowledged them and their help. The third person I called, I thanked her for being there for me and told her how much I appreciated her. As with each of them, I explained that this was a very hard day for me mentally, but I wanted to let them know that I loved them.
Now this is what really aggravated me. The first 2 people were male, they were very humble and gracious when I called, the third was female and as I explained why I was calling, her response was appalling. It was such a sense of entitlement in her voice. The conversation almost took a stank turn, until I realized that this conversation was not about anything I was saying to her. She had a bad attitude long before I called and she used this opportunity to vent. Ladies, stay prayed up. Some people are just bitter people and will take any opportunity to make you bitter also.
I make it a priority to see that others are taken care of. I listen and try to offer inspiration and motivation when need, but, I am human and have down moments also. During these times, I pray and know that God is my foundation. I know that whatever down moment I am having will pass, but during that third conversation, the bitterness in her voice almost made me lose my religion. Once I hung up the phone, I made the decision to limit my contact with this person, I choose not to have negative, bitter people in my life. I am at a place where I want to encourage, inspire and motivate my female friends. Not drag them down, or make them feel like they owe me anything. I refuse to associate with bitter people. I will pray for them, but I will not associate with them!
To all the women who read this blog, please continue to uplift your female friends. Sometimes all it takes is a kind word, a smile or just a simple "thank you. Be positive and inspirational when it is needed. Women Empowering Women is not just an organization, it should be a lifestyle for us. We should always be available to uplift, inspire, motivate and educate each other in a positve manner. We as women must get to a point where we are no longer bitter, jealous or envious of each other. We do not live in a perfect world, and none of us are perfect and yesterday I realized that no matter what you do or say, SOME PEOPLE ARE JUST BITTER.

WE MUST WORK TOGETHER
As you know there are many budget cuts, both state and federal coming soon, and unfortunately many of the people being affected are those who need help the most. If within the last 4 years, if your family has not been hurt by this economy, then God bless you. But everyone I know has been hit hard by the tanking of our economy within this time frame. We must work together and make our government representatives understand that "We The People" will not allow them to make us (poor people, elderly, children, mentally and physically disabled, etc), bare the brunt of THEIR money mis-management.
We must work together and let our representatives realize that THEY WORK FOR US, and not the other way around. We have people right here that are struggling to make ends meet, trying to make a dollar out of 5 cents (not 15, I said 5). We have people right here, not eating because the price of FOOD is so high. We have people right here, that were BAMBOOZLED by housing thugs, and are now living piller to post. We have children right here that want, need and deserve to be educated to the HIGHEST degree at a low or no cost to them or their family. We have people right here that cannot afford proper medical care or medication. We have people right here, in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that need to be bailed out.
We must work together and change the direction this ship is going. Contact your representative and DEMAND that he/she REPRESENT YOU! If you don't know who your representative is, go to http://www.house.gov/, put in your info and the site will tell you who you are represented by and how to contact them. You have the right to email, write a letter and call them. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to do this. Let them know that they bailed out FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS that contributed to this crap we are in now, and you want to be BAILED out of your situation.
We must work together and let our representatives know that they work for us, not the other way around! We must work together to make a change. Back in the day, we use to picket and march to get our point across. There are marches being planned across the country. I will post the day and time for California.
Change will only come if we work together, and this is going to require all of us.
Be Blessed

Without a Foundation You Have Nothing
Ladies, today's messge to you is about finding your foundation. This is beneficial to you and your family to be solid. My foundation is Christ, and through my faith and a solid foundation, I was able to overcome a lot of detrimental things that was thrown at me. Through my faith and a foundation, I was able to raise a strong family who leans not to their own understanding when things are tough, but understand that when you are on the right path in life, there are spiritual principalities that will come against you. Through my faith and a solid foundation, everything that I have asked for has been given, and then some.
If things are not going the way they should, find your foundation. Know that you are a child of God and that thing will get better. Know that he has not forgotten you and that he has given you the tools to overcome any adversity. Know that if there is a battle that you cannot fight, he will fight that battle for you.
Ladies, I know that sometimes things can get so bad in life that you want to give up. But, today is a new day with new opportunities. Whatever it is that you believe in to get you through tough times, this is your foundation. Make sure it is solid! Know that you are not alone. Know that if you want help to put a solid foundation under yourself and your family there are people who will be more than happy to help. Reach out and let someone know that your foundation is not solid and you are sinking. Find a church, a synagogue, a mosque, a temple, and if you are not religious, find somewhere positive, somewhere that feeds your spirit with hope and determination to overcome whatever adversities that have come your way.
Ladies, you set the tone for your household. Give your household something no one can take from them, a solid foundation in life.
Be Blessed!

KNOW WHO YOU ARE
Ladies, know your worth! Know that you are a powerful, intelligent, beautiful being. Know this! Tell yourself this EVERYDAY! Know that you are worth respect. Know that you are worthy of a blessed and happy family. Know that you are intelligent and capable of doing any and all things if you set your mind to it and are willing to work hard for it. Know that you are a beautiful being. Know that your beauty will not be measured by what the "media" want us to think beauty is. Know that you have the ability to move mountains with your mind. Know the power within you and NEVER allow anyone to steal your joy or make you think anything different.
It is a sad state of affairs when you have to realize that not everyone want you to do better. I will say that again, "Not everyone want you to do better". But know that you are on a path to greatness when you can overcome diversity and naysayers. My blog is to encourage women to see and reach their full potential. To know that we come from a long line of powerful, intelligent, beautiful women. Know that being labled as anything other than a beautiful, intelligent, powerful being is not acceptable.

TAKE BACK AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILY
This post today will touch a lot of people, and depending on where you are in your life, this may strike a cord of agreement or a cord of disagreement. I pray that you read what I am saying and we ALL make the committment to make a change for the better.
There are a lot of kids today without guidance, manners, lack of respect for others and self, no sense of tact, no descipline and some are downright mean and angry. I know that I am not the only one who has recognized this. Ladies, we recognize that there is a problem, but the question is:"How do we fix it"?
I say to all the mothers with children. You made a choice to have a child or children, and it is for YOU to instill proper values to YOUR child. This is your responsibility! Once you have a child, you must realize that life is not about you. It is now about raising a child that is ready for what society has for them. It is your responsibilty to teach your child about respecting themselves and others. It is your responsibuility to teach your child to not have a sense of entitlement, but to work hard for what they want. It is your responsibility to make sure that your child receive an education. It is your responsibility to surround your child with positive role models that can help them become better. It is your responsibility to teach your child that thuggin and hustlin is not an option. It is your responsibility to teach your child to value themselves and to not follow anyone or anything that is not positive. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
I realize that raising a child is not easy. I want you ladies to realize that you do not have to do this alone. There are parenting programs, your church, community center, a neighbor and mentoring programs out there that can help you. Utilize these programs to better yourself and your family.
Unless you have a mental or physical disability that prevents you from raising your children, there really is no excuse. Ladies, you must put aside some things to focus on your children. We have a society that is refusing to properly educate your child (This is proven by budget cuts for education, school closings, teacher layoffs), but yet they are pouring billions into the prison system. This is not by accident nor happenstance, this is a planned scenerio. The harsh reality is that they are building these prisons for YOUR CHILD.
Now is the time to take back and take care of your family. Make the committment today, to be a better parent and to raise your child better. There really are no excuses. The bible says, "THE HANDWRITING IS ON THE WALL", I suggest you read it, marinate on it and take action today.
Be Blessed!

Learn To Respect Each Other
Learning to honor each other is not as difficult as it seems. Ladies, we have got to get back to the point where we STOP disrespecting each other and Start respecting each other. Ladies there is an inner beast we must conquer before we can move ahead. I cannot imagine the women that came before us, trailblazing women who bore the brunt of abuse, cruelty, slavery etc, calling each other "bitches and hoes". Something is wrong with us if an older lady cannot correct a young woman without being cussed out. This is not cute nor cuddly. It is disgraceful and a slap in the face to the women who sacrificed their all so the WE can live today. This is not a "young woman" issue, this is a WOMAN issue. We must learn to respect each other. Ladies, if you cannot respect yourselves, what would make you think that others will respect you.
Today is the day to Stop the disrespect and Start the respect for ourselves, our familes and our community. Ladies, if you are unsure of how to conduct yourself, seek a mentor (We have mentors here at Women Empowering Women to help you), talk to someone at your church, seek out that neighbor that you admire, emulate that co-worker that knows how to carry herself. If you reach out, someone will help you.
Respect for each other is a beautiful thing. Start by smiling and saying "Good Morning" or just "Hello". Learn to offer a sincere compliment. For you mature ladies, you must set an example for the younger ladies. There is nothing worse than a mature lady attempting to act young or "gangsta". Ladies, get your act together and set the tone for the younger women. It is not too late to make a change in our families, a change in ourselves or our community for the better.
Ladies, make today the day we start conducting ourselves accordingly and respecting each other.
Be Blessed

Some Battles Are Not Yours To Fight
There are times when we are so overwhelmed with problems. Mental overload brings depression, agitation, aggravation, stress and a host of other things that will weigh you down. Ladies, you must know that some battles are not yours to fight. We are put in a position (by society) to take on everything, from working more than one job to maintain our homes, the stress of looking for a job to keep our homes, raising a family, the worry of not having enough money to feed our families, paying the bills, the list goes on and on....... I want you to know that today is a new day!
Know that God does not give you more than you can handle. Sometimes, through our own mistakes we bring unnecessary issues into our life. Take the time and look at what is happening in your life that is preventing you from enjoying the things that God has blessed you with. Sometimes for God to work in your life, you have to let some things go. Get rid of things (and people) that are not positive, inspirational or motivational. If it is not beneficial to your growth spiritually, mentally, physically or financially GET RID OF IT. If the people you surround yourself with are negative, depressing, keep crap going, back biters then pray for them and send them packing. Keep negative people out of your life. They say "Misery loves company". Well, you tell misery that you are not having company today, and to keep it moving!
We take the time to clean our homes for spring, now is the time to clean your mind also. Learn to change your thoughts. You control your mind and the thoughts that enter. When negative thoughts enter, refuse to entertain it, think of something positive. Continue to praise God and give him glory for all you do have. Look around you, we are sooo blessed. Focus on the positive. Surround yourself with positive people.
Finally, learn to smile. Again, I will say, We are so blessed. Ladies, we are such beautiful, intelligent, glorious, inspiring, wonderous beings from God. We understand that God made man the head, but you must also understand that he made us THE NECK, and without that neck that HEAD would not move. Understand your power as a woman. Be proud of who you are, smile and walk with a bold authority.
Be Blessed!
Ladies, Understand Your Position of Power As A Woman
It is this belief in a power larger than myself and other than myself
which allows me to venture into the unknown and even the unknowable.
~ Maya Angelou ~
Now is the time to understand your power as a woman. We have become such a "me society" that we as women, have lost or given up our position. Ladies, thoughout history we have put whatever differences we had with each other aside and focused on the betterment of our families, advancing ourselves and building our communities. Understand, we are here today enjoying the freedom and priviledges afforded because of the struggle, hard work, sweat, tears and blood given by sisters before us.
Our focus at Women Empowering Women is to teach women how to work together. This can only be done by inspiring, educating and motivating each other to reach our full potential as individuals, and combining
our strengths, our knowledge and our talents to become the powerful beings we were intended to be.
Through Christ all things are possible, and I know that once we as women understand our lineage (our history) and unless we take a stand and change things, we are destined to repeat. We have a generation of ladies that do not understand what it means to be a woman, to conduct themselves as ladies. It is a shame, but it is not too late to inspire, educate or motivate them to be better.
Ladies, together we are a powerful force. Let us now make the committment to be better and understand our position as women.
Be Blessed Always
